FAQ

How it works

01

Where the data comes from

Public Google Maps reviews: the same star ratings and written reviews anyone can see on Google. Nothing private, nothing purchased, no surveys.

02

How the data is pulled (an automated pipeline)

  • Build the store list: we search Google Maps across each market to compile a near-complete list of store locations.
  • Pull the reviews: for each store, the system collects its reviews from Google and saves the raw, unedited data, stamped with the date.
  • Archive everything: every pull is stored untouched, so every number is traceable and reproducible.
03

How it's analyzed

AI reads every review and scores it for: the rating, whether it's positive or negative, the recurring themes (staff, queues, pricing, cleanliness, payment, etc.), and any health & safety flags. It then ranks best and worst stores, flags stores with repeated problems, and plots every store on a map colored by rating.

04

Why the numbers can be trusted

It's grounded, not generated: every figure traces back to a real, verbatim review. The system quotes the actual customer's words and never invents or paraphrases. Where there's no data, it says so. Health & safety findings are even read and confirmed individually.

05

Coverage & cadence

  • Coverage: the whole store network.
  • Cadence: a 6-month baseline first, then refreshed weekly, with each week archived as a dated edition.
